Future Development Plans
- We
would like to extend the self-financed primary education by adding Gujarati medium High school as well
as Higher Secondary sections
affiliated to Gujarat Board. This will ease the pressure of admission in the
aided section.
- In view of the changing socio-economic profile
of the community, especially due to the new housing colonies coming up in the
neighbourhood, it is necessary to offer facilities for bilingual or English
medium education
in a complex . This will require an independent building.
- We should consider the possibility of
establishing a centre of the National Open School, which
provides for part-time
and home study options
for the usual academic subjects as well as vocational subjects. This can be
done in a dedicated block of the self-financed Gujarati medium school.
- The
same complex for open learning may also offer facilities for adult learners to
join programmes of the Indira Gandhi National Open University as
well as Baba Saheb Ambedkar Open University of Gujarat.
- We
would like to establish a technical and vocational training centre where
short term, certificate
courses for Solar Power and alternative sources of Energy can be
offered. New buildings and lab facilities will have to be provided
for this institution.
- A
separate wing of the technical centre should provide short term courses in Food
Processing Technology. These courses can become a vital link between and among
the agricultural facilities,
the ‘Gou-shala’ and the production unit for experimental aspects of food processing.
- We
require a Computer Centre on the campus to meet the needs of all the educational institutions, in line with the
Computer Centre on the CN campus. This may be given a higher priority. This
would require renovation
of an existing
building and purchase of about 50 computers.
- Similarly,
an Angreji Kendra should come up to support the work done in all the schools /
institutions on the Adalaj campus.
- In
addition
to all these facilities,
we should also support a Sports and Yoga Education Centre on the Adalaj
campus. The space and buildings for such a centre are available, but funds will
be needed for purchasing the equipment and for the remuneration of the employees.
