The Balmandir was  established in the year 1961  following the principles  propounded by Shri Gijubhai  Badheka regarding Children’s Education, especially that at this age, education has to be joyful and  must focus on active learning. The institution is a perfect combination  of Gijubhai’s educational principles  and Madam Montessori’s principles of early childhood education. The  approach adopted at the Balmandir is to provide maximum freedom to the children. Along with this, the institution inculcates life skills education to the children as it  imparts training in fundamentals of  language and mathematics.
